In Denmark and globally, many youths with ADHD face stigma, misinformation, and limited access to supportive environments tailored to their needs. Existing mental health platforms are often clinical, text-heavy, and disconnected from the lived experiences of young people. This creates barriers to understanding ADHD in a positive way and limits opportunities for peer support, learning, and empowerment.

APPROACH

We addressed this challenge by developing Planet A – a digital community created for and by youths with ADHD. Through collaboration with experts, the ADHD Association, and individuals with lived experiences, we designed an accessible and uplifting app that enables users to better understand and manage their ADHD. The platform transforms traditional psychoeducation into an engaging, positive, and user-driven experience available anytime and anywhere.

RESULTS

Planet A provides an inclusive and empowering digital space where youths with ADHD can learn, connect, and thrive. By shifting the narrative from disorder to potential, the platform promotes well-being, self-understanding, and community belonging. Through sensory-rich content, interactive learning, and peer support, the solution: Reduces stigma of ADHD, improves access to knowledge and resources, encourages positive identity and self-perception og strengthens social connections and shared experiences. This creates meaningful impact by combining education, emotional support, and creativity in one cohesive platform.
